Biography

Singer and multi-instrumentalist (guitar, banjo, mandolin, sitar, keyboards, tabla,…) who released in 2009 his first solo album ‘Songs from the River”.

After starting out in the Antwerp rock underground (early Zita Swoon, Deus …) at the age of 14, he hooked up with the folk world of Brittany, France to study intensively the celtic open tuning guitar (DADGAD). Meanwhile he continued the conservatory with the Belgian jazz masters and later on went to India a couple of times to study Sitar and Indian classical music with Batuk Nash Mishrab.

An acclaimed live and recording artist with bands like Aurelia Feria, Ambrozijn, Think Of One, Vera Coomans, Nada, Olla Vogala, Soetkin Collier, Dakar- Bruxelles-Dakar, Tatave, Grijsland, Living Roots, Blauwgrasband, Urban Trad, …

His singing and unique finger picking guitar style reflect all these various influences and brings him a special place within the Belgian acoustic field .

He is also the captain of the 40m concert barge  « Aurelia Feria » which has been navigating throughout Belgium and France
